Coming across a stone bridge you see a clump of willows seeming to float on a sea of wild grasses. It is a hot day and the heat waves are shimmering up from the field, and even in the heat you enjoy the view on a quiet, sunny day.
These trees can be seen at the Ches Len Preserve in West Bradford, PA. This painting was completed “en plein air” while trying to chase away the insects.
